Fees for music at your wedding are separate from the other fees payable to the Church and are payable directly to the organist. The fees rates are based on the guidelines issued each year by the Royal School of Church Music. The fees for music in Tring from February 1st 2013 until further notice are as follows:
The Organist’s basic fee is £80 to include all routine preparation, administration, meetings etc, performance for the service and accompanying soloists during the service.
This is increased by 50% to £120 if you want to make a video recording of your service.
If considerable additional preparation time or rehearsals with soloists are required these will be charged, with prior agreement, at the rate of £20 per hour.
Fee of £100 for a choir of six members or more, usually eight to ten. The choir will assist in leading the singing of the hymns at your service and will be available to sing during the signing of the registers if required.
If you request any music for which copies need to be purchased you will be charged the cost price for the music which will be retained by the church afterwards.
